I am a PhD Candidate in Cinema Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, one of India’s leading institutions for research in the humanities and social sciences. My doctoral work focuses on cinema, music, and visual culture in South Asian conflict regions, with particular attention to Kashmir and post-conflict Sri Lanka.
My academic training is grounded in interdisciplinary approaches to film studies, cultural history, and media theory; this foundation informs my broader engagement with cinema, sound, the politics of representation, and socio-political discourse.
